MOTOR RELIABILITY CONTEST.
By Telegraph—Press Association,
WELLINGTON, January 1
The motor reliability contest, organised by the Auckland Automobile Association, came to a close this evening, when the cars taking part arrived in Wellington. There were only eight cars, two of which were merely touring to complete the journey from Napier to Wellington, others having met with mishaps. Two of the competitors lost their way and much time in getting back to the main roads. Most of the Cadillac cars came through the test fairly well. So far as is known, the 10 h.p. Cadillac driven by R. A. Dexer, and the 15 n.p. Darracq' driven by W. B. Lechanan, are about equal for first place.
