MOROCCO.

RAISULI AND THE SULTAN

MOROCCO, December 30

The Sultan's letter dismissing Raisuli has been read in the mosques. His Majesty condemns Raisuli's maltreatment of the people, occasioning trouble with friendly powers, and describes him as a liar and an impostor. He calls upon his subjects not to listen to the corrupt person whom he is about to chastise. Raisuli is defiant and refuses to relinquish the Governorship of,the northern provines, to which he was recently appointed.

He has sent his harem to the mountains, and is now preparing to fight. .—«—
