WANGANUI RIFLE MEETING.
WINSLADE (OPAKI) WINS THE CBAMPIONSHIP. TEAMS MATCH WON BY OPAKI. By Telegraph—Press Association. WANGANUI, December 28. The Wanganui Rifle Association meeting concluded to-day. W. Winslade, of Opaki, won the Champion Belt. He and Drummond (Wanganui Highlanders) tied with 305, but in the shoot-oft Winslade won. Captain Craw was third. The Teams Match resulted:Opaki, 1,200 points ... 1 ! Wangannißifles, 1,249, points ... 2 The Wellington Madch was won by Rifleman Small (Pukeokahu) with 60; Sergeant Pleasants (Huuterville) 60, a-ud Private Muggridgfl (Palmer Eton) 59, were second and third. The Wanganui Ma f ch was won by Private Thorpe (Wairoa Mounted Rifles), 90, second and third places being filled b> Rifleman Feast (Opaki), 90, and Private Drummond (Waugßnni), 90. Captain Craw (Linton) won the Rapid-firing Service Match, Private Cooper bein* aocond, and Captain Barltrop third. The Rapid-firing for active volunteers only was won by Serjeant Stewart (Wanganui),Sergeant Davidson (Wairoa) being second, and Corporal Rasblelgb (Palmeratou) third.
