(From Our Own Correspondent.) Saturday. The local school closed yesterday for the mid-summer holidays. Shearing operations are just about over now. One or two small sheds, Jiowever, have not yet finished. There are fiome good hay crops in the district.
The New Zealand Dairy Union paid out £2BB 18s 3d for butter fat supplied during the month of November. The largest cheque paid to one supplier was £49 3s 3d. The tests for the week ending December 13th are as follows Average, 3.7; highest, 4; lowest, 3.4.
