ELECTORAL DISTRICTS.
PROPOSED BOUNDARIES

The proposed boundaries of nevr electoral districts iu the North and South Islands are set forth iu the Gazette issued this erening. V
In the North Island Newtown disappears as an electorate, and its, place is taken by Wellington South.. Hawora has been reconstructed and becomes Straiford. There are three new electorates -Taumarunnl, Tduranga and Wellington Knburbe. In the South Island Waikouaite, Courfc\nay and *Tuapeka disappear and Gaversham becomes Duuedin South.
PAHIATUA. The Pahiatua district coruprides tba couanties of Woa lville, Weber and Akitio, togetbar with the southern portion of the Dannevlrke Riding ot thei Waipawa County not included in the. Waipawa distriot and Mangatoro Kiding, less th< t poriion north of tho Manawatu River,' and includes tho Poraugabaa tiding and tho Wallingford Road district of Patangata County, tho Pukemiku and Mpknri ridings of the Pabiatua Ooanty, northern potion of Mangahao tiding, ipiug north, ward of Bridge Road from the Makakahi .River to the railway line* thence southward along tbo railway line to section 43, Mangabao, Dy sections 13 and 40 to tba Mangahao River, by that river to section 8 by sention 8 to tho Tainui Valley Road.- and by that road continued westerly to the .county-boundary, the northern portion of Mangaoue riding lying north of Rook Road, the Maugaramaratna Road and fronting sections 20\ 21, 22 and 3,. the northers portion of Puketoi riding Iyfug north of the Makari Riyer, and the Makuri-Rakaunui Roed and also the boroughs of Woodville and Pahiatua and tbe township of Makuri.
MASTER lON'. The Masterfcon district comprises, the Eketahuna, and Maurioevile ooiinties, together with the southern portions of tbeMangahao, Mangaone and Fuketoi riflings of the Pahiatua County, not included in the Pahiataa district hereinbefore described, the whole of the Alfredtoa riding of the Masterton County, the Rangitumau riding, less that portion included in the existing Wairarapa Electoral Distriot, that portion of the Te Wbiti riding west of the Ruamahanga and Wangaehu Rivers, and the eastern part of the Opaki riding lying east of the road running between the Ruamahanga and Waipoua Rivers, and east of the latter river to the Matabiwi Road, thence by a lino south westerly to the Upper Plain Road, and by that road to the borough of Masterton, including the borough of Jtfasterton. In the last Parliament tbe representation of eaoh Island was equal. The readjustment of boundaries now Gazetted provides for the North Island having six wore seats that* the South Island.
