The High Commissioner cables as follows: The butter market is steady, with an improved demand, prices have advanced «inoe the cabled report last week. The market is greatly affected by reports of expeoted Australian arrivals, and the Christmas demand. Choice New Zealand is quoted at 113s, Danish at 121b, Siberian 102s, Auatralan 110 a, Argentine Ills per cwt. Saltless makes are worth 2s per cwt. less. The oheeso market is steady. There is a general and active demand for New Zealand makes, which are quoted at 60s. Canadian cheese is quoted at 625. The bemp market is firm, moderate business has teen done. Good, fair grade on the spot and also October December shipments 'are quoted at £39, There is a better demand for oooksfoot seed and the market ie firm. There are only light stocks on hand. Bright clean New Zealand seed 171b to tne bnshel is quoted at 17s per owt. There is a better demand for wheat, New Zealand long-berried, per 5041b, es granary, is quoted at 295, and short berried at 28s 6d. The oat market is firm, but prides have not advanced.
