MAURICEVILLE.

(From Our Own Correspondent). Monday, At 11 o'clock on Saturday morning a severe shock of earthquake startled our little community. It travelled from north to south, and lasted for twelve seconds. It caused the houses to rock from side to side like boats, but did no damage. Shearing, in the ' immediate neighbourhood of the township, is finished, and the reports of results are most encouraging. Owing to the warm though moist weather of late, there is more grass in the district than there was last year at this time.
