JAPANESE IN CALIFORNIA.

The San Francisco Board of Education has informed Washington that the Japanese were sent to Oriental schools, where., they received the same privileges and advantages as other public school children^' Received December 10, 8 58 a.m. LONDON, December 9. The Times special correspondent who has been sent to San Francisco traces the anti Japanese movement to the Labour Union leaders and politicians. He points out how the Japanese were humiliated in a thousand ways. As a rule they bore it well, but occasionally they lost their temper, and assaults on whites were frequent. The situation was dangerousWAR PREDICTED. A STARTLING REPORT. Received December 11, 1 5 a.m. NEW YORK, Docember 10. Prominent men predict war between America and Japan. Honolulu telegrams assert that, under the guise of labourers, two regiments of Japanese, fully officered, are working iii BUgar plantations at Hawaii.
EXCITEMENT ON THE INCREASE. SEPARATE RAILWAY OARS FOR JAPANESE. PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT'S MESSAGE DENOUNCED. Received December 11, ' k 1.15 a.m. NEW YORK, December 10. Excitement in California is on the increase. Railway companies are urged to provide separate cars for Japanese. Meetings have been held, and President Roosevelt's message denounced.
