CONGO FREE STATE.
DEBATE IN THE BELGIUM CHAMBER.
- BRUSSELS, Deoember 7. In the Belgian Chamber M. Beernaert resumed the debate on affairs in the Congo Free State. No further negotiations, he said, were needed before annexation of the territory by Belgium; an inventory alone would be sufficient. He denounced placing the Government and exploitation of the country in the same hands, and condemned forced labour, especially in the mines.
