Messrs Abraham and Willihms, Ltd., report: At our Pahiatua weekly sto.ck sale held on Tuesday, we had an exceptionally lurge yarding of cattle with a very good yarding of sheep. The sUeep consisted mostly of Woolly hoggets and aged ewes, and good competition resulted, the whole.of thu yarding being cleured at the (close,of the sale. Some very good peris of cattle came forward, for which at times good competition took place, and-the ultimate , result of the sale saw the yards practically cleared. On the whole a most satisfactory sale resulted. We quote:—Woolly hoggets up to 17s 6'cl, nged woolly ewes up to 18a 6d; shorn 2 tooth ewes up to 14e, forward shorn ewes up to 13s, shorn ewes and lambs, all counted, 8a 3d. Gattlo—■ Yearlings up to £2, 2-year steers up to £3, store oows up to £2 2s, springing, heifers up to £3 2s 6J. > LONDON WOOL,SALE'J. Messrs' Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents:—"The sales opened to-day (November 27th) at an average advaace of 7J*£, per' Cent, on merino wools of all descriptions. Greasy Merino aud other descriptions at par to 2M s per oent. higher. Scoured Merino at par to, 5 per cant: higher. So far hardly any oroasbreds have been offered. Generally prices are on the average 5 to 10 per cent higher than the closing rates of the September series.. There is a general disposition to buy.
