STAIEMENT BY 'CHE PREWIEK. By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, .fJovembet 29. Interviewed by an Otago Daily limes representative, the Premier said, with respect to the irregular -running of the San Francisco boats, tbat .notice bad been given by the New Zealand Govercment that there would be no renewal of the contract under tbe existing conditions. All reasonable consideration bad been extended/on account of tbe dislocation by the San Francisco! disaster, but before eutering into any permanent contract the Government required an assurance that, steamers would be able- to fulfil time - table obligations I '. with niore exactitude" than bad beert the case recently. ,
