CHINESE ON THE RAND.
THE RECENT MASS .MEETING,
Received November 27, 9.11 a.m. JOHANNESBURG, November 26. The resolutions adopted at the Mayor's meeting calling for the publication of Mr Justice Bucknill's report on Chinese labour, was carried by a large majority, although the minority vainly tried to convert the meeting into a political demonstration, with a view of showing that the magnates, and not the community, were blameable for the stigma of the recent charges. Resentment at the non-publication of Mr Justice Bucknill's report is as strong among the opponents as among the advocates of Chinese labour.
