QUOITS.
OPAKI OLUB. • {From 'Our Own Correspondent). The monthly competition of the Opaki Olnb was held at Mr A. Mikimiki, and waa well attended. Ibe men's contest was won by H. Obristensen, with T. Wyetb, jar., second, and H. Chamberlain third. Great interest was taken in the rope quoits match ladies v. gentlemen, which was played during the afternoon, the ladies beating their opponents by 86 points. The ladies' tronthly match for Mrs Wyeth's trophy, was won by Miss E. Tankersley, Mies V. Petersen being second. After afternoon tea had been ■served Mr Nioholson presented the trophies previously won. Miss E. Tankersley received Mr Gragg's -trophy, and Mr Harford received MrD. MoKenzie's trophy. A hearty vote of thanks was aooorded Mr W.. Taylor for his generosity in donating a trophy for the ladies competitions. The asual vote of thanks was passed to the ladies for providing the refreshments. The committee decided to hold the next match on the fourth instead of the iflffch Saturday in December.
