Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report as follows regarding Friday's Ba i e: —We offered a email catalogue of wool, 2,700 Bkins, 420 bides and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. Wool:, Only bag wool offered today, We quote:—Coarse crossbred in bags 9d to lOd, inferior and logstained 6d to 6%d, pieces and bellies 4>£d to s}£d. Skina: Market improved in sympathy with wool. Price per lb Higher than last sale. We quote:—Meiinos to B>£d, fine crossbred 9d t-j 9%d, coarse oroesbred to 9d, dead skins 6)£d to dead hoggets 6>£d to 7><d, short wools Gl4& to lambs skine 6>£d to woolly green skins 6a 6d to 8s lid, green lambs skins 2s to 2s 3d, green pelts 2s to 2s 6d. Tallow: Strong competition. Parcels lo shipping order £26 ss; tins, £lB to £2l 10s, ' rough fat £l7 9s. Horsehair: !b to la 4d per lb. Horns: 7s to 20a per 100. The next sale will be held on Friday, December 7th, Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:—There was a small attendance of buyers and competition was rather spiritless; We quote:—Wool: Only bag lots offered. Fine orossbred 10d, dead fleece 8d to B%d, stained pieces 4%d. Skins: The market was firm at late rates, with the exception of butchers* green skies, which were lo*er by 2d to 3d each. We quote:—Pine crossbred to 9%d, medium oroesbred B}£d.to 9d, coarse orossbied 7%d to hoggets 7%d, lambs to dead 7d to l%d, green 8s 4d to 8s Bd, lambs (green) Is lOd to 2s 3d, pelts 2s 2d. Hides were firm for prime sorts, but oalf skins were lower by 2d per lb. We quote:- Ox (heavy), none offering, medium (62Ibs to 69Ibs) 6%d, light (551bs to 601bs) 6%d to 6J£d, medium (431bs to 50Ibs) 6j£d to 6%A, calf skins 6%d to 7d. Tallow: In tins 20a 3d per cwt. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report as follows:—We plaoed before buyers a fair sized catalogue of sheepskins and hideß, also a small lot of horse hair and tallow. We are pleaned to report Bn adtance of a halfpenny per lb in dry sheepskins. Hides were in good demand. We quote:— Sheepskins—Half bred and fine cross 9%d to 9%d, coarse crossbred B}£d to 9d, dead skina 6d tc B%d, broken and inferior 4d to s>£d. Green sfeins— Best 8s to 8s 6d, medium 6s 9d to 7s 9d, pelts to 2s 6d. lambskins 2a 2d to 2s 3d each. Hides—Medium ox 6d to 6J£d, medium oow 6d to 6%d, light ox and to 5% per lb, slippy and cut 4%d to sd. Calf—Sound from 7dto 7%d per lb, damaged 2d to per lb. Tallow. Medium mixed, in casks, 26s per owt.

LONDON' MARKET ADVICES.

Mesßrs Dalgety and Oomrany, Lfd., Wellington, have received the following cables from London, dated the, 22nd inst.:—Wool— Greasy good merino wools: Further saleß have taken place at 15 to' 20 per cent, above prloea ruling at November sales last year. American buyers are the principal operators. Dates of bar own sales are:—November 28»b, December 3d and 6tb. The new arrivßle nave amounted to 121,000 bales, of which 21,500 bales have been forwarded direct to manufacturers at Home and abroad, leaviHg 107,500 bales available for sale. This includes 8,000 bales carried forward from September series. Frozen Meat—Prices remain unchanged. Business is interfered with owing to the high prices asked by owners. Butter—Market we*k and CoDenhagen offioial quotation is 'ower by 4 kronar (about 4s 6d) per owt. The future of the market is difficult *o forecast. It will mainly depend upon the action of speculators. The total imports of cutter into the United Kingdom for the week ending the 17th insant amounted to 66,000cwt., as ot-mpared with 61,000 cw;. for the corresponding period of 1905. Hides —Any change in prices is in favour of buyers. Leather unchanged. Basils lower by par to a halfpenny.
