(From Oar Own Correspondent;. Monday. § Mr Barton, V.8., delivered a leatare here on the 17th Inst. There 'was a small attendance, the reason for so few being present oannot be tinderstood, as the lecture was free, and was the first of its kind. Thase who were present are highly pleased •with the valuable information given them and as Mr Burton handles his subject in an able and interesting manner, a very pleasant evening was spent. The ohair was oooupied "by Mr J. S. Langdon. By speoial request Mr Burton has consented to deliver another leature here shortly and it is to be hoped that all those who are interested in -stuok will be present.
