The commercial expansion which hai been a marked feature of the history of Ntw Zealand during recent years, the growth of Civic Life and the universal prosperity which prevails throughout its rural districts, induce the promoters of this undertaking to believe that the present is an opportune time for launching in Wellington, the Capital City and principal distributing centre of the Country, a journrl which will strongly and impartially give adequate expression to the ideals and aspirations of the people of the Colony. In large and prosperous Cities, newspapers which are conduced on sound business lines and with a fitting sense of what is just, invariably win respect and prove a success. The promoters beiieve that there are substantial reasons for their [conviction that Wellington wifl continue its career of progress, and that this venture <-,afiords, to those who desire.to lurlher the best interests of the Colony and to aid in the City development, an opportunity to invest in an undertaking which with prudent and careful management ought to prove lucrative. It is difficult to state precisely what amount may be needed to acquire premises plact and material, but the proposed Capital of the Company is considered to be ample, and the Provisional Directors are empowered to proceed to allotment when a minimum of 12,000 shares, representing a sum of £60,000 has been applied for. The greater part of this amount is already promised. The minimum subscription on which the Directors may proceed to allotment is 12,000 shares. No shares are to be issuad as fully or partly paid up. No sum either in cash or shares is payablo to any Director for any purpose in the formation of the Company or to qualify hira as a Director. .No contracts have baen entered into. Intending shareholders are requested to send in their applications £at once as the Share List will be closed on the 30th inst.
