Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable from their London House, dated the 15th inst: —Butter market unchanged, 'ihe total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ending the 10th inat amounted to 67,000 cwt as compared with 73,000 cwt for the corresponding week of last year. Frozen meat—New Zealand frozen mutton, lower by to cer lb. Frozen lamb, unchanged. Frozen beef, lower by J£d. Wool —Market firm with upward tendency, especially sreasy crossbred wools. Tallow —Out of 1,643 casks offered at yesterday's sales only 14 were disposed of. Holders and buyers are holding back.'" In order to sell at least 6d decline necessary.WELLINGTON WOuL SALES. Messrs Abraham aud Williams, £jt3,, held their first wool sulo of the Wellington series on Friday. The wool waß shown in the firm's new store r9ceutly erected on Thorn don Quay. The buyers, generally, expressed their satisfaction with the new store and its uiany advantages for displaying wool. The total offering comprised 1,500 bales. Buyers wera present in full numbers, including representatives of American and Continental firms, 'l'ho market was exceedingly brisk, avid prices very satisfactory. We quitted the whole of our catalogue under the hammer. Oar leading \sales were us follow:—BJ rev. conj., 14 bales at lid; JR, at 10% d; JR, 6at lOd; WAD, 6at lOd; RATaNJI over LII, 6at 10d; W and Co., 6 at WAIRAKU, 10 at JM over RAUKURA, 3 at B over XZ, 6at MO over KAUKURA, 2 ct9%d; JF, 2 at CMS over S, 3 at lU>ad. We quote as follows:—Fine crosßbreds,lo%d to lid, medium to inferior and logstained 9d to 9J£d, bellies and pieces crutcliings 6}^d.
