BOROUGH PARK COMMITTEE.

A meeting of the Borough Park Committtee. was held evening.. There were present:—Ors Ewingtoo, (chairman), Elliott, Hear, Templeand Morris. A Committee from Mnstertoo Municipal . Brass Band waited on the meeting with rurerenoo to the proposed erection of a practiceroom. They stated that the hand were prepared to spend the extra £SO on the proposed tea room, which amount would be required to maka the tea roon suitable for the band's purposes; also, to assist the Park Committee tu obtaining tbe funds for tbe erection of the tea room. The Park Committee agreed to accept the offer of the band. A letter was received from the Wairarapa Caledonian Sooiety asking the Committee to tar and sand the cycling track in the Park. Th« Committee decided that they would be willing to recommend that the same rent be charged for the use of the Park as l«st year, on condition that tne Society do the work of tarring and sanding the cycling track themselves. It was decided to meet on Thursday, 22nd inst., and draw np the programme for the garden party in the Park on Boxing Day.
