Cobb, President, occupied .the chair, and there ; was ■ a large attendance. ". The PreaidentbrietJy reviewed' the work of the past year, and stated that, the year had been •' a most successful one. JBro. J. W. Smifihi submitted a report on the work of the Denomination among the Maoris daring the past.year. He , said that a noticeable feature among the Maoris was their appreciation of literature. Be found only one Maori whb declared that he would have nothing to do with religion. Any thing, said Bro. Smith, that the , Maoris thought would help them they developed a keen interest in, espeaially in medical matters..; ■ In the evening a pablio service ; was held. The President preached an eloquent sermon, in which he dealt with some phases of the. life of Christ. /Today being the Sabbath Day with the Denomination, the first Sabbath School, will be held. Thß public are welcome to attend any'of the services during the camp meeting in Maeterton. The oonferenoe will- continue its sittiugjio-rmrrow.
