The second round; of the single bowling championshps was played on the Melbourne Club's ground to day. The following games were clayed by Now Zealandera:- Roberts, Weßtralia, beat Gardiner, New Zealand, 21—15; Doctor Magilliouddy, Viotoria, beat Cooper, New Zealand (retired); Henderson, Victoria, beat Bastings, New Zealand, 21—14; Cooper, Victoria, beat Osmond, New Zealand, 21—15; McLaren beat Champion, Victoria, 21—10; Durie, New Zealand, beat Ross, Victoria, 21 beat Bleach, Victoria, 21 Smith, New Zealand, beat Jacobs, Victoria, 21—10. The New Zealanders will play the seoond test matoh against Australia at Albert Park.

Harrison, Hurne, Kelly and Cooper (Victoria), 27; Blaok, Court, Scot, and Sneddon (New Zealand), 19. Sohultz, Harrold, Thomas, and Moody (Adelaide), 20; Bastings, Ledingham, Waddell, and 'Dall (New Zealand), . 26. Thackeray, Kruger, Robinson, and Roberts (West Australa), 31: Keast, Walters, Osmond, and Bonskill (New Zealand), IV. Totals Australia, 155; New Zealand, 145. After the match Mr Wood. President of the Victorian Association, complimented the New ZBalanders on the improved form shown. Mr Payne said that the New Zealanders WDUId never regret ooiriug to Victoria, notwithstanding they Lad lost the rubber. The New Zealanders will leave for Tasmania on Monday. Tliey gwill bo entertained fcy' r the tomorrow.
