MASTERTON TROTTING CLUB
MEETING OP STEWARDS. A meeting of the Stewards of the Mastertou Trotting Club was held on Saturday evening. There were present—Messrs W. D. Watson (ohalrman), P. Hill, A. Snodgrass, J. Dixon, W. Whittaker, D. MoNair, G. H. Yates, J. O'.Neili, W. Morris, and P. Doisott. Mr J. Ames wrote agreeing to provide a totalisator for the coming meeting on the same terms as last year. A letter was received from the New Zealand Trotting Association stating that Mr W. G. Laivey oould not be allowed the name of "Aristocrat" for his horse. In aooordanoe with his notice of motion, Mr A. Snodgrass moved that no bookmakers or their agents should be allowed on the Show grounds on the oooasion of the ooming trotting meeting. Mr P. Hill seoonded the motion, which was carried. The matter of ereoting the totalisator house and the judge's box was left in the hands of Messrs Dixon, Whittaker, and the Secretary.
