OBITUARY.
MIsS N. INFIELD. The death occurred at 1.15 o'clock this morning of Miss N. Infield, daughter of Mrs Infield, of Pine Street. The deceased had been ill for some months. The late Miss Infield was wellknown in Masterton, especially in musioal circles, and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. Her death will be deeply regretted by a large circle of friends. MR W. JONES. Mr William Jones, who has been a resident of Masterton for the past 14 years, died at his residence, Cross Street, on Friday night. The deceased waa 50 years of age, being born in Durham (England) in 1856. He emigrated to New Zealand about 30 years ago, and resided in Akaroa for some years before coming to Masterton. A widow and a family of seven sons and one daughter are left to, mourn their loss. The funeral will take place at 3 p.m., to-day. MR GEORGE HERRING. By Telegraph—Press Asociation. LONDON, November 2. Mr George Herring, the well-known philanthropist, has died from appendicitis. (The deceased, who was chairman of the City of London Eleatric Lighting Company and other industrial concerns had been instrumental in establishing benevolent homos and other institutions and was a large contributor to hospital funds.) MR MARTIN DANAGHER. SYDNEY, November 3. Mr Martin Danagher, contractor, formerly well known in New Zealand, is dead.
