Shipping at Toulon suffered greatly. The batttleship Petrie (14,635 tons, 14,000 horsepower), and the frigate Laguerriere broke adrift, and were secured with great difficulty. 3he coast is strewn with wreckage. A tidal wave caused great damage on the Hyeres Islands, off the coast of the Riviera. NINETEEN MILES OP PROMENJ ADES DESTROYED. ; DAMAGE AMOUNTS TO ONE MILLION POUNDS. POUR HUNDRED FISHING VESSELS LOST. Received November 4, 4.45 p.m. PARIS, November 3. The storms wrecked nineteen miles of promenades along the Riviera ooast, doing damage amouning to one million pounds. At the height of the storm a number of submarines dived, remaining safely below till the worst was over. Four hundred fishing vrssels were lost, though there were few casual- ' ties.
