WAIRARAPA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.

MEETING OF DIRECTORS. The monthly meeting *j)f the directors of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society was held on Saturday afternoon. Mr J. 11. Panling ocoapied the chair, and there were also present:—Messrs A. Mutrie, J. McLean A. Fra6er, R. Gray, G. Stewart, T. Wyetb. G. Heron, W. D. Watson, J. MoHatie, D. McLaohlan, J. Harvey, R. Cameron, A. MoLeod, E. H. Waddington and J. B. MoKeuzie. i The following new members were eleoted:—E, W. Pay ton, S. Harding, Duncan Munro, T. Waterson, Jas. Henderson. Fonr applications were received for the position of secretary, and after a ballc* being taken Mr J. B. Emmett was eleoted to the position: It was deoided that the seoretary find a fidelity bond of £2OO, the Sooiety to pay the premium on the bond. The programme for the sports on New Year's Day as submitted by the Programme Committee, was adopted. The prize money shows an inorease of £l4 7s on last year and all amateur events have been struck off tne programme. • Messrs Grey, Watson, Wyeth, Pauling and Hill were appointed a committee to arrange the programme. Mr W. Smith (Longbush) was appointed honorary piper to the Society.
