GRANTHAM RAILWAY DISASTER.

LONDON, September 19,
A crowded Sootob express train on ihe Great Northern Railway, leaving London list night, was wrecked outside Grantham at midnight.
Ten persona were killed and sixteen injured. The train should have stopped at Grantham, hut failed to dc so. Shortly nftßr passing the station the train left the rai's, and tbnn jumped a bridge. The engine and several coaches were dashed over tbe em ■ bankment, the engine turning turtle. Several coaches immediately took fire.
At the spot where the train was derailed there is a curve, and it is supposed the brakeH failed to act.
The train appears to have gone on to a siding, smashing into the parapet of the bridge, wbiub was com < pletely wrecked.
