N.Z. CRICKET COUNCIL.
PLUNKET CHALLENGE SHIELD. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTOHURCH, October 29. At a meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council to-night the conditions for the Plunket Challenge Shield were adopted, subject to the approval of His Excellency. The Shield is.to be open for competition amongst all Associations affiliated to tbe New Zealand Cricket Council, who would allot the shield to the Association whose representative team it considered to havo tbe best record for the season 1906-7 ; such Association to hold the shield subject to the right of challenge by any other affiliated Association; challenge matches to be played on the ground of the holder of the shield.
