MAN COMMITS SUICIDE. FIP.E ON A STEAMER. By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, October 28. Joseph MoOluskey, a single man, 23 years at age, committed suicide at South Dunedio last evening. He was living with bis sister, Mis fcitzpatrick, and reached the house somewhat the worse of drink. He sat talkiuc for some tirao and then ■went into another room, where be hung hiras3if by a scarf from a hook in a large wardrobe. A fellow-boarder found the body and out it down but life was extinct. it appears that MoOluskoy had threatened to commit suicide on a pievious occasion. A tire broke out in the forecastle of the ooastal steamer Inveroargill about 11 o'clock Inst nlgbt, but. was .extinguished after doing about £lO worth of'damage.
