Many people are asking, says the Duucdni Star, whether the Port Stophons will, if picked up by the Eakanoa, bo the absolute property of the Union Company. The answer to this, supplied by a solicitor, is that she will not. The only claim will be for salvage. The Jeannetto Court's case is a typical one. She was abandoned, her masts gone, the pumps not workable, and a lot of water in the hold ; and she was towed 850 miles to St. Thomas. It was admitted that sho was worth £7500, and the Court awarded £BOOO. That dreadful word "consumption" need never be feared if Dr. Sheldon's New Dis covery is taken in time. Thousands speak of it in the highest praise. For sale by H. E. Eton, Chemist, Master ton, J. Baillie, Carterton, and the Maurioeville Cooperative Store. Mauviceville West.
