He arrived at Rixdorf, having in his possession one hundred pounds. He glorifies in tbe exploit. He froe'y admitted being tbe perpetrator of the robbery. Voigt was never a soldier, but a rather notorious criminal, having served sentences aggregating years for thefts and forgery. (It will be remembered that a man wearing a captain's uniform stopped a file of soldiers and induced them, by showing a forged military order, to accompany him to Kopeniok Town Hall, where he arrested the Mayor and took four thousand marks from the safe. He ordered the soldiers to conduct the Mayor to the prison at Berlin, and disappeared with the money).
