WOMAN SUFFRAGISTS.
TEN ARRESTS MADE. Received October 25, 7.46 a.m. LONDON, October 24. 'Ten female suffragists, who were concerned in the disturbance in the lobby of tbe House of Commons, have Been arrested. Included amongst thern is Mrs Howe Martyn, who told the police she entranchised women in Australia once, and was a candidate for election, securing twenty thousand votes. If not admitted to the Inner Lobby, she would cable her exclusion to Australia, and they would soon see that Australia supported her. The Magistrate bound over the accused to keep the peace for six months. They declined to find sureties, and ali elected to bo sent to prison for two months.
EXTRAORDINARY CONDUCT. Received October 25, 10.31 p.m. LONDON. October 25. When charged, the suffragists shouted and gesticulated, declining to recognise the magistrate's authority. They renewed the uproar when sentenced, shouting " This is a shameful outrage by the Liberal Government." They refused to leave the dock until force was used.
