CHURCH AND STATE.
Received Ootober 23, 9.30 a.m. MADRID, Ootober 22. Spain is denouncing the Concordat of 1851, with a view to modification in a Liberal sense. The Premier announces that a Bill to curb the power of religious associations Will be introduced. The Duke of Sotomay has been authorised to declare that King Alfonso is personally in agreement with the Ministers of tbe Liberal party in defence of civil power.
