BUSH DISTRICTS SHOW.
The following are the new features in the programme of the tfush Dis trlots A. and P. Show, hitherto fcoown as the Woodvillo Central, wbioh is to be held on the WoodTille Raceoourae on Wednesday, January 23rd next. In the competitions a Cap valued at six guineas Is offered for the Hunters' Leap, and is to be won two years in succession or three at intervals. It is to be known as the Bachelors' Cup, it having been donated by the baohe lcr members of tho Association. A Ladies' Leaping Competition is instituted for *he first time. A» it has been found that great dissacis faotion has been caused through horses that are regularly racing at trotting m a etings being allowed to compete in the trotting events they have been barred. In horses, the smallest class of ponies has been madn to include those under twelve bands. In cattle, the provision that heifers in milk are to be milted on the ground has been omitted, and it has been arranged to have these classes taken fcy the judge immediately on his arrival on the ground, so ttiat they may be milked as early as possible. The sections for.'calves are to be for three instead of five, and they are to be the property of a bona-fide dairyman. In sheep, a section for five Border, Leicester rams baa been inserted, and the prizes for the pens of five rams in JLincolns, Leioeßters, and Bomneys have been doubled. The section for five crossbred wethers is to be for wethers under 21 months, instead of under 33 months. A new section, for five wethers most suitable for ' freezing, under 2 J months, is added to the sohedule, and also a section for children's pet lamb, whioh the committee hope will be well filled by the littl* folks. The entry fee for this seotioo ia 2s 6d. In prodaoe, sections are inserted for Blue Prussian and for Partridge peas, and also for beans; ouly farmers residing in the disriot can oompete in these classes. The committee have every Hope of a very good Show. It has been growing in favour year by year, and exhibitors have found that tbey have been well treated at it, and care will be taken to give them as good ground for satisfaction next year. Promises of support from exhibitors j who have never been to the Bush before have already been received, and the officials think tbey have every reason to be sanguine. For those who want a pleasure trip, the ground offers many attractions and will soon be one of th# test in the country. s Any information required will be gladly given by the secretary, Mr Bo we Fennell, Box 2, Woodville.
