LORD ROBERTS ON THE NEW ARMY SCHEME.
Received October 22, 9,22 a.m. LONDON, October 21. Lord Roberts, speaking at Edinburgh, said he feared that Mr Haldane's ideal of a large army reserve consisting of the able-bodied men of the nation would prove a failure when an emergency arose.
