EUROPEAN PETROLEUM UNION.
Received October 22, 8.18 a.m. LONDON, October 21. The Daily Mail states that the Rothschilds, the Deutsche Bank, and Nobel Brothers, of St. Petersburg, have formed a European petroleum union, with a capital of a million sterling, backed by the French, German, and Russian Governments, with the object of amalgamating oil properties in Russia, Roumania, Galicia, and Germany. The Union proposes to fight the Standard Oil Trust.
