Philadelphia coroner deliberately concealed the fact of the fraudulent banker Mr Hippie's suioide, in order, as be says, to prevent a run on the institution., The other directors were also aware of their insolvent position, and kept the .Real Estate Trust Company open. Meanwhile the friends of these having inside knowledge removed their deposits and cached their claims. Mr Hippie blew out his brains on the Friday night knowing that discovery was inevitable on Saturday morning. He had appropriated £1,000,000 of trust securities to hie own use.
