THE SUBMARINE LUTIN.
Received October 18, 8.39 a.m. PARIS, October 17. The Lntin, which, when undergoing submersion off Rizerta, the naval station of Turn'?, on|tbe Medi terranean, disappeared beneath the waves, is lying in 122 feet of water. It is intended to try and drag the vessel into shallower water before raising her. It is feared that all those on board are drowned. X TERRIBLE DEATH. Received October 18, 10.55 p.m. PARIS, October 18. Before disappearing after the second plunge, the Lntin rose near the surface bow foremost. It Is now feared that some fissure admitted water to the machinery, and that the drew of sixteen have met a terrioie "death. Lord lieresford, in a sympathetic message, informs Admiral Bel hie that he is sending a battleship cruiser and a destroyer to assist in the work of raising the submarine. He also offers to send tugs. Admiral Bellne has gratefully bocepted the assistance of the former, but does not require the tugs.
