CORRESPONDENCE.
—• (To the Editor). Sir,—ln referring to what Mr Duncan said at the Caledonian meeting, un Saturday last, viz., that 1 had said that the Wairarapa Caledonian Society was the only Sootch Society in New Zealand which allowed a publican's booth at their sports gatherings, 1 wish to point out that what 1 said wa* that 1 believed that we were about the only one. I presume Mr Duncan wrote to every Society in New Zealand to. try and prove me wrong, but {"lint did he get? but two letters in favour of his own side of the question. May 1 aab what regard Mr Duncan had for thß Wamrapa Caledonian Society, when he refused the Society's medal on Saturday last, and aaid he preferred money. In conclusion, let me tell Mr Duncan that wiien be refused the Wairarapa Caledonian Society's medal be insulted every member of the Society. —1 am, etc., J. CROSS.
