Forty thousand miners in tbe Rhonda Valley, Glamorganshire, Wales, wbo gave notice tb terminate their oontraots at tbe end of Ootober, are unlikely to strike, ' owing to all the non-unionists employed at fourteen collieries joining the federation. 9 At seventeen other collieries, out of 2,200 non-unionists, all joined but 440. Final action is delayed for a fortnight
