CRICKET.
The annual general meeting of the 8. Matthew's Cricket Ciub was held, last evening. The Rev. A. M. Johnson presided, and there were thirteen members present.Three new members were ejected, it was de- ■ cided tu enter a team for the junior championship of the Wairarapa Cricket Association. The Chairman and Mr Berry were authorised to -make all preliminary arrangements. The following officers were eleoted:— CJaplain, J. Berry; practice-captain, F. Phillips; secretary, Rev. A, M. Johnson; assistant secretary, W. Palamontain; treasurer, F. Dixon; •general committee, J. Berry, D, La »Koehe, C. Welch, F. Phillips, and 13. Hatch; selection committee, J. Berry, E. Simonson and F. Fenwicb. C Cole offered his services as custodian. A vote of thanks to the 'Chairman concluded the businnss
