TARIFF REFORM.
Reoeived October 16, 9 a.m.; | LONDON, Ootober 15. Viscount Ridley, in a letter to the Tariff Reform League, declares that tbe Government's attitude in regard to colonial preference must be critically important, in view of tne Colonial Conference. If the colonial delegates are sent away with the door shut on preference, both the consolidation of the Empire and tbe economic future of the United Kingdom will beoome exceedingly grave.
