CARTERTON SHOW.

The usual standard of first-class haokft and harness horses which are shown at the Wairarapa Pastoral Society's Show will be maintained this year if the entries already reoeived are any criterion. Besides numerous others, tbe Society has two Challenge Cup winners coming, and there is little doubt that the visiting tubllo will have as difficult a task as in previous years in an tioipaticg the judges in awarding the red, blue, and green prize-cards. Of the three judges in light horse classes whose services the Wairarapa Soaiety was fortunate in securing, Mr Baird is now unable to attend, but tho Society is to be congratulated on having been aUe to obtain the assistance of Mr Hugh Gillies in bis place.
