THE LAND BILL.

PALMEESTON N., October 13. At a well attended meeting of the Palmerston North branch of the Pamirs' Union, this morning, after discussion on the late Land Bill, the following resolution was passed:— "That this branch is pleased to see that the Government has withdrawn the Laud Bill for thr present, aud considers that it is desirable that before the Land Bill ia forced upon tho country the people should have time to consider it; and, further, that it should be placed before aonstitueucies at the next (jeueral Election.
