CARTERTON SHOW.
The prospects of success with the Wah'hrapa Pastoral Society in their 29th annual show at Carterton, are encouraging, pnd the Society has good niaaouß for anticipating an iuoreaso in the generous support usually accorded to the event, It, has aways been alive to the fact that accommodation for exhibitors is aa important as attention to visitors, and these have been well considered tor the forthcoming show. Ihe Society has over 70 covered stalls reserved for purebred cattle, and to this number 15 have been added this year for bousing the exhibits in the milking classes. The pig pens are receiving atteution. Although placed in a sheltered part of the grounds they are being roofed and exhibitors will appreciate tne addition. This coupled with the faofc that prizo money in this section has been largely increased, should have the effect of making competition bettor and keener. Visitors to the Society's tea room will be pleased at the ■ alterations *liat have been made. I The Society this year has instituted a tea roum at the back of the Agricultural i-Jall, which 'no doutt will 1 be well patronized, as it has just ' been made up-to-date aud convenient. Though improvements have not been on such a largo scale as last year, tbe Society auu rightly oiaim to have one of the prettiest and most up-to-date showgrounds in tbe colony.
