Other newspapers declare that if Great Britain systematically yields to the United States, the oolonies will be compelled to assert themselves. Reoeived Ootober 10, 10.35 p.m. ST. JOHNS, Ootober 10. It is understood that Sir R. Bond. Premier of Newfoundand, will not resign, preferring to fight to the bitter end. He especially resents the modus vivendi cancelling toe Colonial Act preventing Newfoundlanders joining American vessels. He Intends to vigorously enforce every statute against Amerioans confiscating vessels instead of firing upon offenders.
