By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 10. The House met at 7.30 p.m. Mr A. L. D. Fraser gave notice tbat he will, on the next day, introduce the Land Aot Amendment Hill No. 2. The Bank Shares Bill passed through committee unaltered. The Savings Bank Property Bill gave rise to a discussion. Mr Barclay moved'to add a the payment of the trustees at the rote of £1 per meeting with a limit of £l2 in any one year.—Carried. Mr J. Allan moved the second reading of a clause'providing for the vacation of trusteeship after three absences from meetings. The Bill was passed through all its stages on the voices, The Sale gof Explosives Bill followed. Mr Budio moved to exolude sporting cartridges from the compulsory entry in a special book. The discussion was long. The Minister of Public Works pointed out that no explosives, as defined in the Act of 1882, would come under this measure*until specially gazetted, by the Governor-in-Counoil. The amendment was lost by 22 to 40. Another amendment, by Mr Tanner, to oompel the signature of purchasers for their own protection against arbitrary entries by sellers, was defeated. The rest of tha Bill passed with minor amendments. The House adjourned at 11.25 p.m.
