CHARGES FOR SIDE SHOWS.

MA'XTEK JiEtfORS THE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

A letter was received at the meeting of the Masterton Borough Council, last evening, with reference to the question of charges in connection with side shows at the next annual show. The letter suggested that the charge, be a nominal one, and covering all side shows that might be allowed on the ground. It was further stated that every proprietor uf a side ebow would be required to sign a stringent agreement enabling the committee to summarily ejeot anyone proving obnoxious by word or deed. Jt was decided to charge £5 for the privilege of sideshows on the Showgrounds.
