THE AUSTRAL LASSES' BAND.
The public of Maßterton should be interested in the announcement that the Salvation Army Lasses' Band will perform in Masterton on Wednesday, Ootober 3rd,' in the Town Hall. The Band has been seleoted from volunteers from all pßrts of Australia. It has been travelling in the Australian States for the past eighteen months, and has been enthusiastically received in Canterbury during the past fortnight. The Band also includes a glee party and soloists. On Wednesday evening the Band will play its usual weeknight programme in the Town Hall. The Otago Daily Times says that the playing of the Band is excellent. It is quite evident that all the performers are good instrumentalist?, and have devote:! much time to the study and practise of music. They play with good combination and good taste. Suoh a recommendation is sufficient to draw crowded houses.
