STEAMERS STRANDED. NEW YORK, September 28. Hurricanes, accompanied by floods, have raged over the Southern States of America. / A number of i'ntalities occurred. The damage in several of the States is estimated at a million dollars, not inoluding the cotton growers losses in Alabama. Many places were unroofed in Pensaoola (a seaport and the oaptial of Esoambia County, Florida, Bitnated on Pensacola Bay) and steamers were stranded iu the streets. Tbe losses at tbe latter place amount to two million dollars.

A hurrioane at Mobile wrecked shipping and wharves, and blew down the OLristohuroh Cathedral, and wrecked several blocks of buildings. Tbe oity is flooded. Tho damage is estimated at three million dollars. At several towns in the vicinity great destruction was wrought. FATALITIES IN SPAIN. MADRID, September 28. One hundred people were drowned in oonneotion with the storms in the Sanamera and Murias districts in Spain.
