NEWMAN.

(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) The quarterly meeting of Court Mafeakahi was held on Tuesday, September 25th. There were 35 members present. O.K. Bro. V. Anderson presided. Xwo new members were initiated and 13 proposed for initiation. C.R. Bro. Anderson assisted by P.C.R. Bro. A. Syverson, performed the initiation of the new members. A "u creators'fire" was awarded the newly-initiated members. The O.K. presented a neck ribbon and P.O.JR. certificate to Bro. Ammunson. Bro. Ammunson suitably responded. A vote of sympathy was passed to Bros. W. T. and M. Knight; in their late bereavement. Bros. Grey and Anderson were present as visitors from other courts. The receipts for the evening amounted to £2O 7s Bd. It was decided ;to hold a special meeting next Tcesday evening to initiate new members. Refreshments were supplied during the evening. Bro. Grey supplied the musio.
