EARTHQUAKE SHOCKS.
EXPERIENCED IN CANTERBURY. By Telegraph—Press Association. OEIRISTOHURCH, September 22. Just before twenty minutes to eight this morning a slight shook of earth quoke was experienced in the oity. A slight shook of earthquake was felt at Hanmer at eight o'clock this mdrning. It is reported that there was n shock of earthquake at Cheviot about eight o'olook this morning. A board-ing-house was severely shaken, and a large amount of crockery was broken. As far aa could be ascertained no other damge was done. The earthquake was also felt at Rangiora and Kaiacoi.
